Dr. Gareth Hardie earned his Master’s in Chiropractic from the University of Johannesburg (UJ), where his dedication and diligence led him to complete his degree ahead of schedule in early 2016, graduating as the top student in his year. His outstanding academic achievements were recognised with the prestigious Chiropractic Association of South Africa (CASA) Excellence Award in 2017 and a Golden Key International Honour Society certificate. These accolades reflect his unwavering commitment to excellence in both academics and professional practice.
During his time at UJ, Dr. Hardie demonstrated strong leadership qualities, serving as President of the World Congress of Chiropractic Students – UJ Chapter and as Vice President of the Student Chiropractic Sports Council. His Master’s dissertation, titled The Effect of a Chiropractic Adjustment on Brain Activity, was presented at UJ’s Dissertation and Thesis competition in 2016, showcasing his interest in innovative research.
Since graduating, Dr. Hardie has continued to expand his expertise by completing various postgraduate Sports Chiropractic courses, including the International Federation of Sports Chiropractic’s ICSC program. These additional qualifications have equipped him to contribute his skills at high-profile sporting events, such as the ABSA Cape Epic, World Powerlifting Championships, and numerous Regional, National, and International Rowing Regattas.
In 2016, Dr. Hardie established his own chiropractic practice, where he is known for his exemplary care and compassionate approach. Patients frequently commend his effective treatment methods and empathetic demeanor, making him a trusted and well-loved figure in his community. Currently, he practices at the Linked Health Centre on Boeing Road East, Dunvegan, delivering top-tier chiropractic services with professionalism and expertise.
